저는 한국에서 계절근로자로 일했습니다.
In this kind of situation which we don't expect at first
우리는 처음에는 이러한 상황을 예측하지 않았습니다.
I came here as a fisherman to be exact
저는 정확히 어업으로 이곳에 왔습니다.
And to make it short, our experience here I think is it's not the worst thing
간략히 말하면, 여기서의 근무 경험은 최악까지는 아니지만
but I can say it's not good
결코 좋지 않았습니다.
We signed a contract here in Wando under over two million won.
우리는 완도에서 200만 원 전후로 근로계약에 사인했습니다.
but sadly we have this Korean broker and they gave us only
그러나 우리를 데려온 브로커들은 우리에게 오직
in the beginning they gave us only about 팔십 오만 원 or 850,000 won for our monthly wages.
팔십 오만 원, 처음부터 85만 원 정도만을 주었습니다.
And I think they are stealing money from our salary and it's very bad, it's very sad.
저는 브로커들이 우리로부터 월급을 강탈해갔다고 생각하고 이건 아주 나쁘고 슬픈 일입니다.
But I don't want them to experience what we have done
저는 다른 계절근로자들이 제가 겪은 것을
what we have to go through about this situation.
겪게 하고 싶지 않습니다.
There's a lot of people working as seasonal workers here.
지금도 많은 계절근로자들이 여기서 일하고 있기 때문입니다.
(질문) And about the stealing money from the brokers. Do you think that that is human trafficking?
당신은 브로커로부터 임금을 강탈당했다고 이야기하는데, 이것이 인신매매라 생각합니까?
Yeah that's a very big human trafficking because you know, you're,
맞습니다. 이건 아주 큰 인신매매입니다. 이를테면
those workers are working a lot for themselves for their families but the money they are taken only level.
계절근로자들은 가족들을 위해 힘들게 일하지만, 일정한 임금을 브로커들이 착취하여 가기 때문입니다.
So it's a part of a human trafficking.
이건 인신매매의 한 부분입니다.
That's what they are saying way back in the Philippines
그들은 필리핀에서 그렇게 이야기했습니다.
those brokers they're telling us that without them, we workers cannot go to South Korea.
그들 없이는 우리가 한국에 갈 수 없다구요.
They are telling us that they are the only way for us to come here in South Korea.
그들은 자신들이 계절근로프로그램에 오는 유일한 방법이라고 이야기했습니다.
(질문) If the this problem is solved, then you have a thinking that you come here again with the seasonal farmer program?
그렇다면 당신은 이러한 문제가 해결되면 여기 다시 계절근로 프로그램으로 올 것인가요?
Yes, absolutely I will come back.
당연히 돌아올 것입니다.
We are living here and fighting for our rights.
우리는 여기에서 지내며 우리의 권리를 위해 싸우고 있습니다.
We want to get rid of these brokers.
우리는 브로커들이 사라지기를 바랍니다

and at last anything you want to say to the officials or us, or you are your colleagues, seasonal working colleagues?
마지막으로 당신이 우리나 관계자들에게, 혹은 동료들에게 하고 싶은 말이 있나요?
Okay I think for the government I'm praying that they will do something for this human trafficking.
먼저 정부가, 저는 그들이 인신매매 방지를 위하여 무언가를 하기를 기도합니다.
This could not be happen again in the future and I hope that they will do.
이것은 미래에 반복되어서는 안됩니다. 정부가 무언갈 하길 희망합니다.
They will make better solutions for this kind of situations that we are facing right now.
더 나은 대책과 방안을 마련해야 합니다. 이런 상황에 대해서요.
I believe that the government will do their best.
정부가 최선을 다 할것을 믿습니다.
